This is an F-14 pilot stick model replica. The model includes all electronic parts needed for 3d-printing and assembling a fully functional F-14 pilot stick that operates with flight simulations.
All electronic parts are standard parts, as can be seen in the pictures.
The Model shows an electronic card used in order to connect all buttons to Arduino as an example. The electronic card design is not included.
The bottom tightening nut fits the Thrustmaster Cougar / Warthog stick base.
File Formats Included:
STL - 24 STL files, in 1 zipped file
STEP - 1 zipped STEP file
PARASOLID - 1 zipped X_T file
Mechanical parts needed for assembly:
- M3 bolt, length 15 mm with M3 nut - for the body. The nut should be inserted during printing to the F14StickGripLeft part at height 6.4 mm.
- M2.5 cone head - for the WeaponSelectorHousing part and for the ThumbPlate part.
- M3 bolts - for the lower nut adapter.
- Spring, diameter approximately 5 mm, length approximately 20 mm - for the first detent trigger.
- M3 bolt, length 30 mm, M3 nut - for the Hat part. The nut should be inserted during printing to the Hat part at height 5.9 mm.
- Spring, diameter approximately 5 mm, length approximately 10 mm - for the Trim Hat.
Printing Recommendations:
- For a metal feel of the grip - Use Aluminum infused PLA.
- Printing in normal setup:
- Layer Height: 0.12-0.22mm
- Printing Speed (for all parts): 50 mm/sec
- Temperature according to the printing material.
- For the weapon housing part:
- Layer Height: low - 0.12-0.15mm
- Printing Speed: 40 mm/sec
- Color Recommendation: White color printing, with black painting and gentle sanding of the writing.
- All settings are relevant to Flashforge Creator Pro printer and may differ from one 3d printer to another.
